Forgotten Sunnah Series-1

1. Wearing the right shoe first and removing it last.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “If you want to put on your shoes, put on the right shoe first; and if you want to take them off, take the left one first. Let the right shoe be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off.”

(Al-Bukhari-5855)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said,
“When any of you puts on his shoes, he should put on the right one first; and when he takes them off, he should begin with the left. Let the right shoe be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off.”

[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]

Abu Huraira reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

When one of you puts on sandals, he should first put in the right foot, and when he takes off he should take off the left one first, or he should put them on together or take them off together.
(Sahih Muslim-2097a)

Imam Muslim (bin Hajjaj) wrote in his Saheeh Muslim:
It Is Recommended To Put Shoes On The Right Foot First, And To Take Them Off From The Left Foot First, And It Is Disliked To Walk In One Shoe.
