As-Salamualaikum…
Alhamdulillah.Nahmadulhu wa nusalli ala rasulihil kareem….Amma Ba’ad…
Please be careful before listening to any speaker or calling him to your religious seminars,a speaker who I once thought was a follower of the Quran and Sunnah, had a set of absurd notes he uploaded on Facebook which had the obnoxious smell of ‘Modernists and Hadeeth Rejectors’.And this guy is presently in the company of other ‘Quran and Sunnah’ Duaat and ‘Islamic Writers’ who wont refute him simply for the sake of unity, even if it is at the cost of destroying Islam.
Some of his nonsense…
(1)(He implies that it is haram to marry Ahlul-Kitaab women) Quote:
“Combining both ayah we realize that ONLY those women from people of the book are lawful for marriage who are NOT mushrik.”…”or such things that makes her msuhrik then marriage with such ladies is NOT AT ALL allowed.”
Answer. It is preferable not to marry Ahlul-Kitaab women, but it is basically halal.
(Quran 5:5)-….And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you,…(part of the ayah)
Shaykh Ibn Baaz (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “If the woman of the people of the Book is known to be chaste and to keep away from the means that lead to immorality, it is permissible, because Allaah has permitted that and has permitted us to marry their woman and eat their meat.
“But nowadays there is the fear that those who marry them may be faced with much evil. They may call him to their religion and that may lead to their children being raised as Christians. So the danger is very real and very serious. To be on the safe side, the believer should not marry them. And in most cases there is no guarantee that the woman will not commit immoral actions, or bring along children from a previous relationship… but if the man needs to do that then there is no sin on him, so that he can keep himself chaste and lower his gaze by being married to her. He should strive to call her to Islam and beware of her evil and of allowing her to drag him or the children towards kufr.”
Fataawa Islamiyyah, 3/172
(2)(He disagrees that verses of The Quran can be abrogated)Quote: “All arguments given in favor of abrogation are extremely bogus-can not go down well to any honest and logical person.”
(Quran 2:106)We do not abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten except that We bring forth [one] better than it or similar to it. Do you not know that Allah is over all things competent?
Shaykh ‘Abd ar-Rahmaan as-Sa‘di (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
Naskh (abrogation) means moving; thus the meaning of abrogation is moving those who are accountable from one prescribed ruling to another, or waiving the ruling. The Jews used to condemn abrogation and claim that it was not permissible, even though it was referred to in the Torah; thus their rejection of it constituted disbelief and was based on pure whims and desires. Tafseer as-Sa‘di, p. 61
(3)(There is no death for an apostate) Quote: “Quran gives absolute freedom of belief / disbelief. None can be forced to believe in Islam. None can be threatened with death for leaving Islam”.
On the authority of Ibn Mas’ood (radiAllaahu anhu) who said : The Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said :It is not permissible to spill the blood of a Muslim except in three [instances] : the married person who commits adultery, a life for a life, and the one who forsakes his religion(*) and separates from the community.
(It was related by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim.)
*the one who forsakes his religion(*A Muslim who apostatizes)
(4)(His Quranist-Hadees rejecting manhaj)Quote: “Life is extremely scared in Islam; a crime that deserves death has to be stated in Quran clearly.”..”When Almighty God mentions about various crimes and its punishment – some even less severe than death; for example – cutting off hands for theft, flogging for wrong accusation of zina – then how come Allah will leave it to hadees to explain a crime and the punishment that is more severe?”
Narrated Al-Irbad ibn Sariyah as-Sulami: (Part of the hadith)…”Does any of you, while reclining on his couch, imagine that Allah has prohibited only that which is to be found in this Qur’an? By Allah, I have preached, commanded and prohibited various matters as numerous as that which is found in the Qur’an, or more numerous….” Sunan Abu Dawud Book #19, Hadith #3044.
Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas: ‘Umar said, “I am afraid that after a long time has passed, people may say, “We do not find the Verses of the Rajam (stoning to death) in the Holy Book,” and consequently they may go astray by leaving an obligation that Allah has revealed. Lo! I confirm that the penalty of Rajam be inflicted on him who commits illegal sexual intercourse, if he is already married and the crime is proved by witnesses or pregnancy or confession.” Sufyan added, “I have memorized this narration in this way.” ‘Umar added, “Surely Allah’s Apostle carried out the penalty of Rajam, and so did we after him.” Sahih Bukhari Book #82, Number #816.
(5)(Tries playing with hadees even though he is a jahil in this science) Quote : ” A very few hadees that gives idea that apostate should be killed is full of contradiction and have several flaws.”
Imam al-Barbaharee (rahimahullah), ‘If you hear a man criticizing the narrations, not accepting them or rejecting any of the narrations from the Messenger of Allah , doubt his Islam since he is a person having a despicable opinion and saying. He is indeed attacking the Messenger of Allah and his companions, since we have only come to know of Allah, His Messenger , the Qur’aan, what is good and bad and of this world and the Hereafter through the narrations.’ [Sharhus-Sunnah by Imam Barbaharee (point no: 69)]
(6)(A quote from his erroneous essay “Lost Prophets of India”) Quote: (After misinterpreting the Quran and Hadees) “Can Prophet Noah be prophet of Hindus? Prophet Noah has to be prophet of the oldest community or one of the oldest communities.”
Answer: No where does Allah mention that Noah (Alaihissalaam) was a Messenger of Hindus. The Quran just says that Allah has sent prophets to every community, but it did not mention any name for India.
(*)There are many things I could refute from him,but what I have quoted is enough for any sane minded Muslim,In’Sha’Allah.
“Oh, soon a time will come when a narration of mines will reach a person while he is relaxing on his couch. He will say, ‘We have the word of Allah (Qurān) to judge between us; what we find as permissible in there, we will regard that as permissible and we would regard as impermissible what we find prohibited in the Qurān.’ (Then Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم said), ‘Verily the prohibition of the messenger صلي الله عليه وسلم is same like the prohibition of Allah.” (Sunan at-Tirmidhi 5/38)
“When I prohibit you from an action then avoid it, and when I order you (to do something), do as much of it as you can.” (Sahīh al-Bukhāri 6/2658 and Muslim 4/102)
Shaykh Abdul Azeez Ibn Baaz (رحمة اللہ علیه) said,
“The denial of the sunnah… And rendering it inapplicable is an act of kufr and apostasy due to the fact that whoever denies the sunnah actually denies the Qur’aan and whoever denies either or both of them is a disbeliever according to all of the schools of thought in Islaam.’
(In Defense of the Qur’an and Sunnah (Majlis al-Haq Publication Society, Canada), p. 5. Cf., ‘Abdul ‘Azeez Ibn Baaz, Wujoob al-Amal bi Sunnat ar-Rasool wa Kufr man Inkaaraha (Riyadh: Shaarikah at-Taba al-Arabiya as-Saudiya, 1400 A.H.), pp. 13-14; as quoted in The Authority and Importance of the Sunnah, p. 218 )
Ibn Battah (رحمة اللہ علیه) stated, “If a person believes in everything that the Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) brought except for one thing, and he rejects that thing, then he is a disbeliever according to all of the scholars.” (The Authority and Importance of the Sunnah, p. 219 )
