“I went to Safwan bin ‘Assal Al-Muradi and he said: ‘What brought you here?’ I said: ‘I am seeking knowledge.’ He said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah say: “There is no one who goes out of his house in order to seek knowledge, but the angels lower their wings in approval of his action.'”
(Sunan Ibn Majah 226, Sunan At-Tirmidhi 2682, Sahih.)
Hadith 55:

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said:
“I heard the Messenger of Allah say: ‘Whoever comes to this mosque of mine, and only comes for a good purpose, such as to learn or to teach, his status is like that of one who fights in Jihad in the cause of Allah. Whoever comes for any other (worldly) purpose, his status is that of a man who is keeping an eye on other people’s property.'”

“I heard ‘Abdur-Rahman bin ‘Abdullah bin Mas’ud narrating from his father who said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: ‘May Allah gladden a man who hears something from us, so he conveys it as he heard it. Perhaps the one it is conveyed to is more understanding than the one who heard it.'”

Hadith 59:

It was narrated from Zaid bin Thabit that:
The Messenger of Allah said: “May Allah cause his face to shine, the man who hears what I say and conveys it to others.

There are those who have knowledge but no understanding, and there may be those who convey knowledge to those who have more understanding of it than they do.’ ”

“There are three things because of which hatred does not enter the heart of a Muslim (or There are three with which the heart of a Muslim shall not be deceived) Sincerity in doing an action for the sake of Allah; being sincere towards the rulers of the Muslims; and adhering to the Jama’ah (main body of the Muslims). Because the call is protected from behind them (or Their supplication is answered (i.e. encompassing every good, and all of the people)).

(Imam Al-Mundhiri quoted here from Sahih Ibn Hibban 67, but a similar narration with very minute variation in wordings was reported in Sunan Ibn Majah 230 and 3056 and At-Tirmidhi 2058, and the above text is from Ibn Majah 230).

[Sahih Muslim, 1]

Hadith 61:

Mughirah said: ‘I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah upon him, saying, ‘Indeed a lie upon me is not like a lie upon anyone else, for whoever lies upon me intentionally, then he shall take his seat in the Fire’.’ Sahih Muslim 4a.
