Allah says in The Quran, Surah Al-Muzzammil that:
And recite the Quran in a measured recitation…
Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy word.
In the Ayaat that I recited, Allah asks us to recite The Quran slowly and steadily. And Allah refers to The Quran as ‘Qawlan Saqeelah’, a heavy word.
And the reason that it is heavy is because The Quran is the Speech of Allah, revealed upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through the mighty angel Jibreel.
We as Muslims should hold on to the Book of Allah for our guidance and success. The Quran is a guide in this Duniya and a source of salvation for the Hereafter.
In The Quran, we have admonitions, warnings, reminders, and an imagery of Allah’s blessings for His Believers and Allah’s Punishment for the disobedient ones.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:
“Verily, Allah elevates some people with this Qur’an and lowers with it others”.
Thus as Muslims, if we hold on to the Quran and act upon it, we will be guided and Allah will raise us, and if we leave it we will be ruined.
*So O Muslims! Hold on to The Quran! Ponder over it and strive to understand it!*
I ask Allah to guide all of us to stick to the Quran, its recitation, its understanding and to act upon its rulings. May Allah make all of us from the people who will recieve salvation on the on the Day of Judgement because of their love for The Quran.
