🔹The Creation Of Snakes🔹(How the Quran avoided the Biblical mistake | ðŸ§µ)

(Benefit taken from @RaadTheShepherd account on Twitter.)

According to the Bible, the serpent led Eve into eating from the forbidden tree, so God punished the snakes/serpents by making them eat the dust and crawl on their bellies.

The Bible explained the movement of snakes on their bellies as a curse, as well as interpreting the flickering of the snake’s tongue on the ground as eating.

Some commentaries like The IVP Bible Background Commentary mentioned that the idea of snakes eating the dust and them being cursed can be found in ancient pagan literature.

🔹In contrast, the Quranic account of the story of Adam doesn’t mention any of the mistakes found in the Bible. In the Quran, snakes don’t eat the dust and their mode of locomotion isn’t a result of a curse, rather it’s a sign from Allah ﷻ that He can create whatever He wills.
