Mohammed bin Thajammul Hussain Manna (Mohammed Manna) hails from the Udupi district of Karnataka-India.
He completed his B.E (Aeronautical Engineering) in 2012, from M.V.J College of Engineering, Bangalore. Alhamdulillah he was guided to follow The Manhaj of Ahlul-Hadith during his engineering days after which he decided to spend time in learning and teaching the religion of Islam. In this regard he worked at Al-Furqan Islamic English Medium School (Moodbidri, Karkala) as a formal education and Islamic Studies teacher for a year and nine months.
During the same period he learnt a few books under Shaikh Abdul Lateef Madani (Hafidhahullah) directly, most notable being Kitab-ut-Tawheed (of Shaikh Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab) for a year, and then Nawaqidul-Islam, Usool Ath-Thalathah etc.
After that he worked as an Islamic Studies teacher in Madrasatul-Huda Al-Islamiyyah, Mangalore for seven years, teachings various Islamic books and topics to students of various levels from teenagers to higher classes. In this very institution he also learnt some books, issues and texts, directly with Shaikh Ashraf bin Room Salafi and Shaikh Ain-ul-Haq Salafi (Hafidhahumallah). Besides these he has completed many books in short and long online and offline courses under various Ulama and students of knowledge, Alhamdulillah.
During his meeting with Shaikh Abdul Waris Athari Madani (Hafidhahullah) from Shiroor, he was inspired by and advised by Shaikh Abdul Waris to teach the Biography of The Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) only from authentic sources and avoid extremely weak and fabricated narrations.
In this regard Mohammed bin Thajammul Hussain Manna worked with a dedicated team of students and staff from Madrasatul-Huda Al-Islamiyyah, who helped him in compiling and bringing out two of his works on the Seerah (Biography of the Prophet Muhammad). Namely, ‘Famous But Unauthentic Stories From The Seerah’ [which is a summarized translation of an Arabic book by Shaikh Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Ushan into English], and ‘The Biography of The Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) From Reliable And Credibly Established Narrations (3 Volumes, 1245 pages)’ – this is the first book of Seerah in the English language that uses only authentic narrations for the Seerah, Alhamdulillah. (Shaikh Uthman bin Farooq, a Salafi research scholar and Daee from the USA, praised this book in one of his videos, Alhamdulillah. Shaikh Abdur Rahman Haran Makki also praised and mentioned this book in one of his QnA audios.)
Apart from this Mohammed Manna has also authored (or worked on), ‘The Authentic Biography of Bilal bin Rabah (Radi Allahu ‘Anhu)’, ‘Mukhtasar Sahih Seeratun Nabi’, ‘The Fitnah of Shakeel bin Haneef’-The false claimant of being Prophet Isa and Imam Al-Mahdi [Translation, originally in Urdu by Moulana Abrar-ul-Haq Qasmi], Uncovering The Falsehood That Was Propagated In (The Bollywood Movie) ‘The Kerala Story’, Actions That Are Equivalent To Hajj In Rewards and ‘The Fiqh Regarding The Issue of Criticizing The Evil Perpetrated By The Muslim Ruler’ [Translation, originally in Arabic by Shaikh Faisal bin Qazzar Al-Jasem], etc.
Mohammed Manna regularly translates many essays, Fatawa and lectures of Salafi Ulama, mainly from Arabic, and less often from Urdu, into English.
He has participated in various Dawah initiatives, and also actively participates in Islamic summer camps for teenagers, Islamic awareness sessions in schools and Muslim institutions and writing and speaking on Islamic and current issues. He actively participates in counselling Muslim students on youth and related matters.
Mohammed Manna completed his B.A (Islamic Studies) from Preston International College (Chennai) in 2024. He also completed an Advanced Diploma in Islamic Studies from Aspire College of Excellence, and is currently pursuing a Masters in Social Work from TNOU (Tamil Nadu Open University, 1st year).
