Basic Facts about Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Muhammad ﷺ is our beloved prophet. He is the last and final messenger sent by Allah for the guidance of mankind, there are no prophets or messengers who will come after him. It is our duty as Muslims to love and respect our prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) and henceforth learn about his life and his struggles.

Mohammed (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) was born in Makkah. He belonged to the clan of Banu Hashim from the tribe of Quraish.

His father’s name was Abdullah and his mother was Aminah, he lost his father even before he was born, and at the age of 6 his mother died. After that Abdul Muttalib, his grandfather, looked after him and when Abdul Mutallib passed away his uncle Abu Talib was his guardian.

Thuwaiba and Halima were his famous foster mothers.

Our prophet was born on Monday,20th or 22nd April in 571 C.E (Christian Era) {9th Rabi’ul Awwal} .

He was gifted the prophethood by Allah at the age of 40 years, after which he stayed in Makkah for 13 years preaching The Oneness of Allah, shunning polytheism and its various forms, and about the answerability on The Last Day(Yaum-ul-Qiyamah,The Day of Judgement), and the ultimate rewards of the ones who did good or evil in this life.

When the non-Muslims(disbelievers) of Makkah started torturing him and sometimes even beating him and his Muslim companions ,the Prophet ﷺ and his companions were ordered by Allah to migrate to Madinah. The Prophet ﷺ lived in Madina for 10 years.

After migrating to Madina, the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) along with his companions fought many wars with the non-Muslims of Makkah who always tried to harm the muslims.

The Battle of Badr (the first war fought in 17th Ramadan in 2nd Hijrah) and The Battle of Uhud (in 5th Shawwal 3rd Hijrah) were some of the important battles fought.

The Prophet ﷺ also had to deal with some other hostile tribes and factions. He ﷺ also had some battles with the Jews in Madinah and expelled them from Madinah for their repeated treachery and deceptive nature.

In 20th Ramadan 8th Hijrah the Muslims captured Makkah and all the idols, 360 in number approximately, were removed from the Kaabah .

The Kabah was originally built by Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail (Alaihimussalaatuwassalaam) . The Quran is the Holy Book of the Muslims revealed to Muhammad ﷺ during his lifetime.

How does Allah wish a good end for a person?

Anas ibn Maalik (may Allaah be pleased with him) said:

The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“When Allaah wills good for His slave, He uses him.” They said, “How does He use him?” He said, “He guides him to do good deeds before he dies.”

Narrated by Imam Ahmad, 11625; al-Tirmidhi, 2142; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 1334.

Hifdh Motivation for people with weak memories!

Hifdh Motivation for weaklings like me!!!

Memorizing the Qur’an is a win-win situation for a Muslim attempting it.

● If he is gifted with a powerful memory he is lucky and fortunate to complete the memorization early.

●If he has a weak memory and let’s say, has to struggle for a week for 1 line (not Ayah) of a page of the Mus’haf,in this case he is amply and enormously rewarded for repeating the very line again and again and again .And this latter one,the sttruggler&striver, will In’sha’Allah gain copiusly more amounts of Hasanaat by the time he concludes with the 30 Ajza (30 Juzzs).

When Tawheed is entrenched in the heart…

When Tawheed is entrenched in the heart…

One day as I was travelling with my friend in his car, with his son who was hardly 4 or 5 years old.

This friend of mine who was encouraging his son to complete the Hifdh of The Quran said,

“Son, if you complete memorizing The Quran I will gift you a real big car!”

His son replied, “I will do ابي but I don’t want you to gift me the car!”.

My friend was perplexed and asked, “Why? You love cars right!?”

The kid’s reply was amazing, “Dad, I’ll only ask Allah for the car”.

We were shocked at The Tawkkul of the boy and were almost in tears.

The poet Muhammad Iqbal said:

Tawheed ki Amanat seeno mein hai hamare… Asaan nahi mitana naamon nishan hamara…

(The treasure of Tawheed is in our heart, it is not easy to wipe out our existence).

Allah used a lowly creature ,a dog, to convert 40,000 Mongols to Islam.

Allah used a lowly creature , a dog, to convert 40,000 Mongols to Islam.

In the year 1258 (675 A.H.), there lived a tyrant Mongolian leader by the name of Hulagu Khan (Halaku),who invaded Baghdad and killed thousands of Muslims. This paved the way for Christian missionaries to preach Christianity and convert Muslims openly. Hulagu himself was married to a Christian woman.

One day, a delegation of the most notable Christians headed for Baghdad to attend a grand party to celebrate the conversion of a key Mongolian leader to Christianity. The Mongolian leader had his favourite hunting dog on a leash nearby.

One of the Christians then began congratulating the Mongolian leader on his wise decision and then proceeded to revile the blessed character of our Beloved Rasool (ﷺ).

[Supposedly in order to discourage them from accepting Islam]

The dog started acting violently and jumped on the Christian, scratching him badly. It took several men to make the dog let go of the Christian. One of the attendees turned to the Christian and said, “The dog did this because of what you said about
Muhammad (ﷺ).”

The Christian brushed aside the man’s comment and arrogantly said, “No, that was not the reason for the dog’s reaction. When I was speaking, I pointed with my hand and the dog thought that I was going to hit him.”

The Christian appeared unmoved by the incident and continued to insult the Holy Prophet(ﷺ). At that time the dog, in such a rage, cut itself loose, jumped on the Christian and sank its molars in the man’s neck. It snatched his throat out and the man died immediately.

This incident caused 40,000 Mongolians who were present there to embrace Islam.
